i have naturally acidic sweat. it’s a family thing
we have already. They don’t know exactly what is up with it, other than the sweat being slightly more acidic than normal and the acidic mantle being thicker and Way more acidic than normal, but it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with acidosis. As far as we have tested, our family has had this since at least my great grandpa, and the guy lived to be 93 years old.
So turns out…..you guys are not gonna believe this…….but it turns out. Reading real books. Is good for you actually.
Let me be completely clear - I’m not being a sarcastic ass. I’m just realizing all over again, in real time, for myself, that reading a real life published book makes your neurons feel like they’re getting a spa day. Like I can feel my brain getting juicer and wrinklier with every page I turn. This shit is no joke, this is like hard drugs if hard drugs were good for you and made your brain feel revived and alive.
@7redmoon nothing against some good fanfic, I’m a fic author myself, but there’s something very necessary and mentally nourishing about reading a published book that isn’t just a recycled version of the same cast of characters you’re already familiar with.
this is so nostalgic. tumblr rolls out something terrible. everyone complains. it breaks several people’s dashboards. for some reason it only rolls out to a few people at a time with seemingly no warning. the community collectively and immediately searches for a browser extension that undoes the change. i know we’ve all gotten burnt out on all social media sucking but this is genuinely The tumblr experience. everyone who hasn’t gotten it already gets an achievement. welcome to the club
btw if u don’t wanna be a girl u can just not be a girl. if u don’t wanna be a boy u can just not be a boy. likewise for being a woman or a man or any gender that has ever existed.
there’s no test you need to pass or license u need to hold to trans your gender - you can just decide one day that u feel like doing something different. if ur waiting for permission, i’m giving u permission. go be happy.
For my transition, the idea “I would be happier living my life as a man” was far more helpful to my journey than the question “am I truly a man in my very soul” or whatever. It doesn’t have to be that deep. Your body is yours. Do with it what you want. Be who you want to be. Less pressure on “who you were made to be” as if that is some kind of immutable force. If you think that way you’ll never stop questioning yourself.
i am (re)taking the raads-r autism test and the unclear unnuanced wording of some of these questions combined with the all-or-nothing answer options is setting my teeth on edge. they should have let me design this quiz
